99% of the time that is true statewide.

I know in the area where we live when it comes to girls high school soccer Palm Harbor always has an incredible team and they tend to have a lot of ECNL players. However St Pete, Countryside, Osceola and Seminole traditionally have strong girls soccer programs but don't have a lot of ECNL players. Last year Largo was the best team in Pinellas County. They beat Palm Harbor and were undeated, and will be strong again this year. They have maybe one or two ECNL players but have alot of talented players that don't play ECNL.

Really going out on a limb there. Is tour conclusion based on years of research data? Or just the fricking obvious

The average high school will have lost 1 player at the most, if even one. It might impact a few schools disproportionately but not overall

Agreed. Completely ridiculous thread started with a statement that made no sense.

Good point. DA players would not impact the outcomes of the usual top performing high schools.

Not this year. DA cracked down and no waivers.

The biggest issue is for the big public high schools near ECNL clubs. There are too many qualified ECNL players in four grades and many can not make the varsity team.

For the upcoming season at St. Petersburg High, 6 of the starting 11 will be ECNL players.

WOW!!!! It will be interesting to see if that ECNL talent translates to chemistry on the field.

It will be an interesting season in Pinellas County......

Palm Harbor is Palm Harbor. Always good.

Osceola lost 10 or 11 seniors. Not gonna be that good.

Seminole finally has a competent coach but are basically returning the same players.

Largo lost arguably the best goalie in the bay area to graduation and is not returning it’s leading scorer. But they are returning all but 6-7 players from last season.

This is never an issue. Because there’s so many high schools in the bigger areas and a lot of girls travel out of their high school areas to play club soccer.
