16 shots for unc only 6 sog.
Uva 4 shots only 2 sog. They really shut down mccool. But she was fouled in box that was ignored.
But for the pinto spear into ivory, i think uva pulls it out. Back up gk looked terrified.

UNC cb was the difference. That is why Dickey handles very few shots.

I think any kid thrown into that situation would be terrified. Shut down McCool? she had the best chance of the game. When two good teams play, thats how it is. 16 shots is a misleading stat. UNC shoot a lot from outside the box. Two teams that play completely opposite style. One is possession passing team that to win the game need to go over the top more to loosen the press. The other a heavy press, long ball team that maximizes the sub rules and the rule book.

        Interesting match up.

Talking overall in most games. UNC's CB shuts down many threats.
UVA did have only 1 quality chances; the other scored. McCool needed to slot the ball on the ground not level with a charging Dickey. But great save and held it; didn't spill it.

Disagree. A top level GK would not be terrified. You practice against and with some of the best in the league. Any GK going through that should have been ready to go; not terrified. Jeffers stepped right in for Bollinger (FSU). Same with the Georgetown back up that stood tall in last years College Cup semi's.

Swanson should have been getting the other GK into other games.

The stat didn't say 16 shots on goal. It said 16 shots. ONLY 6 on goal (2 which scored) as compared to ONLY 2 on goal for UVA. That's the real story. UVA had ONLY 2 on goal. (1 which scored). UNC shut them down as far as shots on goal. and being able to take shots.

Hopefully the rematch down the road will have a healthier UVA team.

Is that the real story? or your story?

Oh it's the real story, my man.

Seriously though, UNC held UVA to only 2 Shots on Goal; 2 OT's. #1 team; 2 SOG. Kind of shocking.

MA kid had an own goal for PSU then made up for it getting the game winner. Way to go!

Dont see how 352 or 433 slants shooting one way or the other
That is a foul in every form of the game. period.

                      other than that...great factual post.
Sorry, UVA Dad, meant Ivory not Dickey.

Both OB’s Petersen and Constant out.
If you don’t understand how shooting against a 3-5-2 differs from 4-3-3, don’t know if I can help you. At least half of those missed shots UNC took were because of it.
Not a foul. Ref saw it and didn’t call it. And if you were either coach and your player backed off on a ball in the air in front of the goal, you would bench them.

Constant is not a starter. And tbh, if you dont know that players back out of reckless challenges all the time you are lost. If that happened to your child you would go crazy. Your 433 352 comment is beyond stupid. A failed try to sound intelligent.

Sure, she just likes to play most of 15 games. What happened did she take your kid’s spot?

And I did say the collusion was unfortunate. Nobody wants to see anybody get hurt. Pinto had her eye on the ball in the air and Ivory saw her and charged out to try to get it. It was the right reaction that they train to do with a bad outcome. That does not make it a foul. Plenty of time for ref to see/review it, which they certainly would do in championship game, and neither coach complained.

Constant does get subbed in. Maybe you don't know the player.
Not surprised, teams up here don't play mid-atlantic club teams very much. Pssst. she's from VA.

I dont think that qualifies for the role of Starter. The OP has a tough time with facts vs his/her spin. Play was not reviewed. Coach complained loudly. But dont worry, OP knows best.
