How? You assume he's in it for the players rather than in it for himself. Again, why did it take five years and multiple applications for him to get THUSC accepted to ECNL? Board membership must not carry much weight.

You must be new to Oregon soccer. It's well known that he applied at least two, if not three, previous times before THUSC got accepted and it took a merger with Crossfire along with FCP joining in, for it to be accepted. This is common knowldege in Portland soccer community that he applied previously, so you must be new or have had your head in the sand. This is not opinion, just ask any Thusc person, they will confirm.

"re-elected" is a term typically associated with a general membership, constituent vote.

Reading this press release details the process, you need to'qualify' for this position.

Much like the US Club playoff format everyone qualifies, you need only pay the registration fee.

Tom is the DOC, he carries the flag. He was denied three times. Now you know. That board membership did nothing then, it does nothing now.
