Your noise isn't going to stop ECNL in Portland. It isn't going to stop the bleeding at TA clubs. Portland families are starting to get it. TA clubs have never and never will be committed to girls soccer. You will have to find a new way to fund your boys soccer.

O.K. thanks for the info everyone.
To summarize, the Thorns Academy has played in FWRL and finished 4th out of six teams. They are currently playing in the winter league / H.S. with OYSA, and will end by playing in the vegas showcase in a lower bracket?
I have a dd on a U14 team playing in OYSA. It's a decent team that finishes at the top 1, 2, 3 places, we travel pretty extensively, etc. Why wouldn't it be better to just have the team stay together and play throughout H.S.?

It's going to be humorous to see the ECNL parents went they lose to the Academy team. What then?

They are a pretty good team with a lot of talent. The FWRL results aren't indicative of the quality of that team. They are a team that had a lot of jelling to do. When your dd us of age you will have a completely different team and it will have a different experience and results. Also note they are doing a whitecaps showcase in April and a Colorado showcase in May. Other tournaments a re being discussed. But if you like your team you can always keep it together and just do what you are doing now. Also, you might have some teammates move to ECNL teams. Depending upon how many you might not have a very large roster left.

Truly the "best" players don't need ECNL. They probably already have someone's attention.
