There is another announcement coming. NEFC won’t be one of the clubs.

Correct only one bite at a time leading to a slow demise for the organization that so ruthlessly tried to “put ECNL out of business” via the USSDA push. Tables have turned so sit back and enjoy the show if you’re in the GA.

From a business model it makes sense as well as from a competition/competitive model that ECNL would bring back FCV & Tophat and bring in NEFC. All 3 clubs are highly competitive and are better than 2/3 of the existing ECNL Clubs. The only reason they would not be brought back is purely punitive against the first two and NEFC because of FC Stars blocking that club which is wrong.

Not sure if this still exists, but there were a handful of clubs who had a lot of say. One of those may not want NEFC in. Overall though they certainly belong in.

NEFC getting in would only be possible if FC Stars let go of their White teams. Otherwise, you have Stars and Scorpions an hour from each other and NEFC sat in the middle. 3 clubs in an hour is just a bit much but especially when you add that one of them fields 2 teams at every age.

Obviously you never saw the LA club map. Almost the entire league is 3hrs from farthest teams Eagles SC in Oxnard and Rebels in San Diego.

NYSC has facilities, coaching staff, money and does a great job marketing itself in the area. Major competition is World Class and CFC not wanting to lose prospects.

I would think a combination of NYSC & Albany Alleycats could work in NE conference. Or even just one of them and push PDA white to the NA conference. I guess its the travel partners that has to be figured out.

I’d assume the New England and North Atlantic conference expansion plans are linked. I’m guessing it either stays at 18 or goes to 20.

Pretty big differences between MA & So Cal on the population front, no?

Sure, but you are talking about 2 ECNL clubs moving to 3 vs an entire league within a 3hr radius.
