Across most age groups they were bottom half of their conference in the DA but will finish second or third in their ECNL conference.

Absolutely false. Top 10 in most age groups. My niece played USGDA. I was at championship games in SanDiego for inaugural season and watched all of them.

Sell your bag of crap elsewhere you shill.

And anyone hitching their fortunes to CM is going to be screwed when nova cans his a** - they are having an awful season and his time at Nova will be coming to an end. The AD there simply won’t put up with it.
Villanova were outshot by a very average UCONN team 30 to 3. They tied a bad team that finished 6-8-3 last year. The players are gone from the Fran Kulas years, and the program is going backwards, which is shocking. This is an easy program to into a position to be ranked in the Top-30 nationally. This is a poorly run college program following the poor coaches of Villanova past.

Women's college soccer. Is a lifetime appointment if you: field competitive teams, graduate your players, and keep it in your pants. Coach isn't going anywhere nor should he.

Prior to the start of the GDA, PF were caught by Continental FC in the ECNL, and results were close between Bucks, Continental and PF. There was not a big gap in results and college placement with the three PA ECNL programs prior to the GDA. Things have changed since then, and FC Delco and FC Bucks have really dropped off the past few years, but PF should have opened the gap the past with those clubs, and didn't. An addition of a PA Classics or HMMS (Central PA option) to ECNL would be a serious hit to PF. PA Classics would be a nice addition to the ECNL, and it's strange they have not made an effort to enter the league.

FC Bucks can rebound, but they need to bring in the right people to build the club back to where it was under EL. The number of kids in CRUSA and surrounding clubs is such an advantage. An already established player pool just needs some good people to move things in the right direction. Don't hire college coaches, look for people that have had success in youth coaching and club management.

Nope, that is not the case at Nova. The AD feels they should be winning, and that is correct, they should be winning. The Big East is a poor conference for women's soccer. It's not enough just to have the program, they want results. As soon as his contract runs out, he is gone. Only thing that will save CM and his staff is COVID-19.

The men's coach at Nova is a joke, and only got the job because his family pulled some strings. His uncle is retiring from college soccer, and his family connections in the Archdiocese and Villanova are fading, as many are old and dying off. People will forget why he was hired and there won't be anyone to protect him much longer. Villanova should never struggle in soccer, but yet both programs continue to be poor.

Dates are incorrect. GDA inaugural season was 2017-2018. More teams in conf i believe.

Pda, pf, fc virg, pa classic, wash spirit va, wash spirit md, Va da, nyfc, cedar stars and more.

I recall u19/18 thru U15 for PF out in san diego for championship play.

I agree. With the very good guys programs in the area and academies, no way men's nova coach should be loosing.

I was surprised the guy's program didn't try to get either one of the PF GK's that are both in MLS now (the Episcopal Academy guys). One when to Harvard and left (team/coach were awful) and other to D3 (and won nat'l championship).
Shows all roads lead to success if you want. Don't let a bad or overly inflated ego coach stop you.

Last year was posted. Who cares about 17-18?

The reference was about the GDA inaugural season which was 2017-2018 and 95% top players, including youth nationals and top teams were in it. All the previous ECNL championship teams like Hawks, PDA, Real Co, Surf, Crossfire, LA Galaxy and others.

For PF to be there with most of its teams spoke to how successful it was becoming. Unlike ECNL, there was a substitution limit so the coaches had to use strategy when to sub and who. The players needed to be fit to last as well. It was less disruptive with multiple subbing as far as flow of play.

Probably why many call ups to Sr USWNT team came from that League; like J Howell, B Pinto and others.

Unfortunately today's leagues seem to be less about development and more about winning. GDA thru US Soccer dictated trainings and limited games as development was top goal.

Diverting convo but fresh legs is one thing but you never sub defense/back line unless injury or someone is getting beat constantly. Mind boggling how coaches do it anyway.

And usually within ten mins from the back line sub, a goal is scored against and usually started or caused by the new sub on defense trying to get up to game speed.
