I'm for shutting down a month with a normal calendar.
Year-round soccer is a thing now, and it is okay if your kid rests and is not injured. It's also okay to put away the cleats and pick up a different sport. To each his own. no problem.
But the last poster is correct. The kids who did not play last winter, also didn't play last spring. Some of their towns and clubs got it together and offered a range fro once a week skills to scrimmages based on the passion and dedication of that club. But many kids went into another abbreviated fall season. So winter soccer is just something to get these kids who love the sport something. This whole cancelling of sports is the silliest thing that has happened during this pandemic. We were playing full sports in Jan-March, no masks, before we shut it all down, and guess what, COVID was already here amongst us and amongst nursing homes. But those athletes did not get sick. We are wayyyyyy off track with the focus on shutting down sports. We need to get back to protecting the elderly in the nursing homes.

It will be shut down by Charlie Parker for sure. Restaurants and bars will be done again because certain people cant get it together and seeing as the 0-19 group which he always talks about fall into this have the highest rates only a matter of time
