Was at a FSPL game Sunday, were after the game a parent confronted the coach. The argument was about the kid being taken out mid way through the second half and they were losing 2-1. This verbal assault is what is wrong with youth sports. I overheard the parent attacking the coach about why the coach sub the kid. I have to say the scene was not pretty. This parent (assumed age of 40 something, 6 foot +, and weighing in around 250-260 lbs) after leaving the field proceeded to stop his landrover as he was leaving the parking lot, get out of his truck and confront the assistant coach (185 lbs), chest to chest.
What happened to the 24 hour rule that us parents signed at the beginning of the season?
I feel sorry for this kid/team. This parent seemed like he was trying to live through his kid. He must of said " I hate losing" 20 time or so.
