Here is the skinny on this supposed "rivalry". It exists between parents that think their style of play and or level of competition is better. The girls get along fine. Most have played together on one or more teams since they were 6. After the game, the girls will be hugging it out and making plans to watch the College Cup games together. That is not a rivalry folks. That is a sleep over party.
The parents, on the other hand, see this as vindication for leaving OC.or putting the little community club in their place. One side coaches Tiki Taki while the other focuses on athletics and recruiting the best they can find. Both need to take a chill pill and realize it is GIRLS SOCCER! Nobody gives a hoot about your precocious little Mias but you and the man you are paying thousands of dollars to babysit her.
