The trainning was not the same as it was a few years back. They had a coach there named Jan, who was the heart and soul of SAT. Once he left, the practices became very ordinary. Roger does not seem to have the energy level and motivation like Jan, or other top trainners.
On a persoanl note, he only seemed interested in my son becuase he was good and would in turn help him with his buisness by performing well in tournaments. He was not so attentive with other players of lessor ability. We all felt he saw himself as this master, and could be easily offended if he was not treated that way.
He is a good trainner and is knowledgable of the game. We just felt it was more about him and his own ego, than giving to the kids.

Disney Fiasco
After the Disney (Danone Cup) failures, RT and SAT have been officially declared the greatest South Florida fiasco. If you only make it about the money the product can never be good and will suffer.
RIP SAT

They sent another team u13 div 2, that did not win any of their games. I did see them play one game, but they just could not compete with the clubs they played.

The other Danone Cup team wasn't expected to be competitive... they had some younger players...a girl... and a keeper that really didn't have the experience to play at that level. Team played well together... and was really more competitive than the scores would indicate.

He has a good training program, however, his teams are usually made of some guest players and he tries to pressure them into leaving CLUB teams. There are some players on his selected teams that bullies lesser players with no reprimand and their action runs off average players that may be late bloomers. Not sure if he would be able to handle more teams without more coaching help, time will tell.

These are out of the mouths of the kids who have been bullied and degraded saying they suck. If you have not heard or seen you were not looking to closely

but yes have heard from several kids about the trash talking and bullying going on at the fields. but that's nothing unusual happens at just about every club--so sat is more like a club that they want to accept, that is without being able to compete with them at a high level.

Look its very simple. SAT and RT provide basic training and they are pretty good at training younger kids to prepare them for competitive soccer. But once they are competitive it's time to leave the nest and go to a real club. They are good trainers and not good coaches. It's really that simple. If your kid is a decent player they need to get to a real club and start learning how to play the game as a team. RT has never been a coach, he is a trainer, period
