                    Disney Jr Showcase U12/U13 Girls

I have a couple of questions...........

at U12 in Florida and Georgia do the girls play 11v11? What age group does that start?

We are a u12 team coming in for the Tournament, we were moved to a special U13 division to play 11 v 11

                    Thanks

Typically u12 if FL plays 8v8, and they allow the 12 teams to play 11v11, to give the 12 teams the experience for when they move up. You'll be playing 12 teams that do play 11v11 in this grouping at Disney, there should be no 13 teams in this group.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

                        thanks, it does help

Our girls are looking forward to the trip and playing teams we don't normally play.

Looks like even in the U12 division we are going to have some great talent

                        Top team from Massachusetts
                        top 2 team from California
                        Top Team from Texas
                        Top 2 team from Georgia

You should also know the fields at Gerbil (what most people call the D place since you're not allowed to use the D-word on here) are HUGE. Not just compared to 8v8 size but bigger than most 11v11 fields because Gerbil uses the international standards (120x80) when a lot of parks are closer to the minimum 100x50. The u12s really get lost in the field there and a lot of games turn into a tennis match of half the players by each goal area and back and forth long balls. You probably want to work on your long passing (to someone, not kickball), making use of space, and how to run to cover the field but not get tired.

Make sure you also tell your parents day one to get there early to get on line to get their entry pass. It's roughly $32 for the weekend per adult to watch.

Columbia, South Carolina, or the country of Columbia? Both places would need passports to play at Disney!
