Of course they will, but honestly it's right up their ally. There is no viable reason technically she should not be on that team. They brought her in, by all accounts she fills a need better than anyone else around currently. The only explanation is the Pitchforks don't want her there based on her Religious beliefs. That goes against her Civil Liberties 100%.

The problem is the result would be catastrophic for some.

Why stop there, what about players that disagree with others who are drunks or drug users? And don't go saying that isn't an issue, or a lifestyle for that matter. Abby Wambauch has admitted to being a lush during her WNT days.

As a society we are sliding on an extremely slippery slope.
Well if a player refused to wear the uniform and claimed wearing it meant they approved of drinking and drugs, I think us soccer would send then packing.

Another player thinks red represents opression of native Americans and refuses to wear a red jersey? Us soccer dictates what the jersey represents. They said it is about equality. by refusing to wear it she is giving the shirt a different meaning or she is objecting to the equal rights message.
What US Soccer says it means is irrelevant. The rainbow symbol and its meaning is extremely well established. If they really wanted something that spoke to true "equality", then they needed to use something else.

Let's flip that. The color scheme is well-adopted and it's obvious what it means. US Soccer can say whatever they want, but the color scheme and it's intentions are already well note.

As would be their right to not where that jersey. And, if that were the color scheme going forward, that individual would have to make a decision. However, these jerseys are no longer being worn, so that is no longer an issue for her. Should they wear them again, then I believe she would also have to make a decision.

Bs. The rainbow is for gay pride. It does not mean you are gay.

Which, again, represents something she does not believe in. Which is her religious right. It has no affect on how she plays the game, and has no affect on what jersey would be on her back today.

If the US NT sported racial equality uniforms with black numbers to indicate POC are equal and she refused on the basis the bible tells us whites are superior, would you still support her? What about when men wear pink to support women's rights? Nope. Women NOT right. Women Wrong. Bible says so. Made from a rib. Serve Man. Yup. Not wearing that. Good. Don't play then. Stick to your "principles" (but don't dare criticize atheists on those grounds".

Let's compare that to wearing chinese slave labor produced MAGA hats a philandering lier cheat scum who lines his own family's nepotic pockets with milliions from tax scams and business travel abroad and "weekends" while caging and separating young children from their parents. Great job. You go. Now. Please hurry!

                  Asked earlier, but will again:

Would you support a player declining an offer because the jersey was done in Confederate colors?

                  Yes or No?

Do you support that player being cut from a future team based on those beliefs?

                  Yes or No?

She does not have to approve of homosexuality. But if she does not see homosexual players as her equal that is a problem. I don't know if she does or does not. My college team had lots of gay players and it was not an issue.

The first part: Yes, I support their rights to decline an invitation if that is what her beliefs told her. And, should that no longer be an issue, then she should be allowed to be judged on her merits on the field. Same if someone declined to wear a white jersey because of past oppression.

The second paragraph is just a incoherent rant and won't address it directly.

Again, where does she (not you, SHE) say they are not equal?

Now the rainbow is analogous to the Confederate flag? How so?

She also wears a nose ring which is against the bible. Deuteronomy. Pick and choose, pick and choose.

True, but how someone determines what to believe in and what not to is not up to me to decide.

Both are representative of one's culture and pride in their beliefs.

                                Yes, or No? Simple question.
