Getting into a good college and playing soccer may take more leg work on the part of the player at some of the smaller clubs, but it does happen. Not all top players want to travel, not all top players want to swim, I mean play soccer at lake handled, this is what WFF parents don't get. WFF will never draw the best of the best.
what you dont get is 50% of these players are already playing up for the experience and/or the big field. While your little magpie is watching butterflies ours are taking their lumps as needed and waiting their time to move up. Age vs Age in any group and you dont have a chance!

Both clubs are doing a good job, kids are playing soccer that is what is important. We came from fh to brandon it took a year but our child did get noticed and is now on top team in age group. Should have made the move earlier. Both clubs are the same at early ages but as they get older its time to move

Now what the clubs should do if they were truley concerned with the players is partner and work together not against each other. The only reason it does not happen is because of a very small handful of people who want to control. They do not have the kids as a priority. They have their own interest.

The points in the post about high school and odp make sense and are real

Brandon should only take two teams at each age group and refer any kids that do not make those two teams to Fish Hawk or the Dynamo.

I would agree only because by the 3rd team the kids should only be playing for fun. Lower paying club and focus fun learning the game in local play. Parents should only push the kids on these lower teams to try for the stronger teams if the kids really want to. Otherwise, wasting time and risk losing a future fan of the sport. Also would only work if the stronger kids from the two mentioned clubs are referred to WFF.

We want to consolidate the clubs and merge them not help Dynamo or FH. I personally would like to see Rec at all 3 clubs. U8-U12 Boys at Dynamo campus U8-U12 Girls at FH campus and all older teams including ECNL at Brandon Campus. The West Campus can continue to grow its program because of distance they will not get their youth to travel to the East. Will take time but either Dynamo and FH will come to their senses or they will go out of business.

I know the Brandon leadership is open to working together, just need to get FH to consider the cooperation idea. Close neighbor Cooperation makes a lot better sense for the players and parents involved. Both clubs are full of good people

They have 9 players that made Regional teams on the girls side and 3 on the boys side. The 9 girls on regional teams is more then any other club in the entire SE USA. They had 9 girls and 4 boys selected for PDP. again on the girls side more then any other club in the SE USA other then Concorde. WFF parents and players are all great swimmers so no problem there. No offense but it's not just a little extra work to go to college it just won't happen because FH players won't be good enough. You cannot replace the years of bad development by making extra phone calls to college coaches.
What a joke, how many other clubs were even aware of a tryout for a regional team? just a sea of blue and a handful of others, so there really should have been more than 9 making the team.

You are joking, right? Check any if the CDL and USA standings, WFF cashes their parents checks but offers no development to these players, other than 2 teams they are not playing up.

Oh and forgot, Tennessee and Mississippi also included in that, where are the FH and Dynamo players? I know even when armed with data you will not even get it…go back and busy your head in the sand. Sit at the park square and have another slice of pizza and a beer :)

Sigh more info for you. Have yet to find a FH or Dynamo player. Its not from a lack of looking! The ODP state team roster will be out soon and sigh won't be any on their either I am guessing.

thanks for proving my point only a handful of clubs were aware of these tryouts when they took place in FL. impossible for you to know if a Fh or Dynamo player would have made the team, since none tried out.

If you are not aware of the ODP program then you are not well informed on youth soccer.

Now the Us Club ID program is less popular at this point. This program is US Club competition to FYSA ODP.

The thing you still don't understand. The players didn't tryout. They were scouted at their games or recommended. It's not a tryout.
