If you have a HS aged kid at FSA, does the current coach give his/her input to the potential next years coach at tryouts with respect to promotion or relegation?

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostBeen at FSA for 6 years. there is always current coach and following years coach talking to each other during tryouts. Coaches change every 2 years. Current coaches give recommendations but ultimately new coach makes final decision of a players moves up, down or stays the same. also seen kids moved during the season, sometimes playing on (2) teams

By HS most rosters are pretty locked unless and injury or player departure opens up a spot on a higher team. It should be more fluid based on performance, but it isn't

At tryouts the coaches don't even watch. They talk about what happened on TV the previous night and similar stuff. Coaches do get rotated every could of years, but each time a new coach comes onboard you start from scratch.
