Right, but it's honest and no worse than what FSA has done.

No way 18s have CC .... EF still has a kid at that age and loads of Pomfret kids that are 17 and 18 that need to be given special PT by their HS coach during the winter and spring season.

If you have a HS aged kid at FSA, does the current coach give his/her input to the potential next years coach at tryouts with respect to promotion or relegation?

No. That communication doesn't happen because promotion and relegation is rare.

Been at FSA for 6 years. there is always current coach and following years coach talking to each other during tryouts. Coaches change every 2 years. Current coaches give recommendations but ultimately new coach makes final decision of a players moves up, down or stays the same. also seen kids moved during the season, sometimes playing on (2) teams

That's not what happens. The coaches identify one or two players at most but there's no conversation about any of the other kids. At tryouts the coaches don't even watch. They talk about what happened on TV the previous night and similar stuff. Coaches do get rotated every could of years, but each time a new coach comes onboard you start from scratch.

By HS most rosters are pretty locked unless and injury or player departure opens up a spot on a higher team. It should be more fluid based on performance, but it isn't

After 3 years in a row of your kid getting cut by fsa you may as well try out for CFC
