So when players fail to perform, it is the coach? The parent environment is at fault. That is who is to blame. I dont see how anyone chooses to play in this area because the over inflated club egos; the parents; from around here are to blame.
High school doesnt matter or carry over. You start from bottom and earn way onto field not just because your club coach said you should play. I hope the new coach bkows a horn into all the club crap.

Unless she committed in the last 5 days because my child spoke to her last week and she was uncommitted.

AF let the inmates run the asylum, which is why the program has been toxic for years. You can say college kids need to sort it all out, that's it's part of becoming an adult and all that, but sometimes they need to be put in their place by higher authority.

So you are saying the captains were useless? And the kids were/are immature? And that is AF's fault too? The kids need to control their own destiny too. But if coach allows for sulking or bad attitudes if not getting on field and captains dont step up, then yes, a staff member should step in.

Perhaps the captains are/were the issue? Cultural behavior is learned.

Got it. Ineffective managers/captains are part of business as well. You deal with it or move on. No different in sports either.
Making newbies carry cones different than not trying to help newbies feel welcome. Bossy girl crap. No time for it.

It is a Catholic school. Surely there is a code of acceptance that the school indoctrinates.

You never have to wait long on TS for the subject to go from an accomplished coach leaving to bashing 1) every area club 2) college players in general or 3) the soccer culture in the U.S. It's as reliable as the sun coming up. Never anything positive.

I read a few positive posts including one from me. Your post wants to read negativity into things when that isnt what was said. Oh woe is me. Right troll?
                          Best of luck coach.

This guy did so much to patch over AFs caustic tendencies. He was a big loss.

Kids of lawnmower parents are the worst. The team was full of them.
