Ok flunky, my daughter plays for CFC and has been for the last 6 years and I know personally that the coaches or the club would never do that for the sake of not hiring one of their coaches. Do you really think that CFC sent their players to Fairfield when JO was coaching that 5 win team ??

On another note, I doubt the new staff will honor the verbals with juniors and even some Sophomores. He's going to want to put his own spin on things.
That would be a death sentence and end any chance of him getting any kids from the state and local Clubs.

Not the original poster but what I think you are missing is that when all things are equal, kids go to colleges because they are comfortable with the coaches. When comparing QU and FU, if there are CFc coaches at QU and not at FU, where do you think they will go Einstein? It isn’t always whether a player is good enough to play at a school that counts. It’s whether the coach thinks they are good enough. Knowing the coach at a college helps alleviate some of the uneasiness. If the FU guy is smart, he will try to get a CFC coach in there right quick. Hard to recruit nationally when you’re only the 5th or 6th best D1 program in your state.

Yeah because people are lining up to go to an average school that is the 3rd worst team in the worst D1 conference in the country. LMAO. You are delusional. Get checked out for the flu before you end up dehydrated, with pneumonia and die.

He’s coming from D3. Probably doesn’t even know what a scholarship is much less pulling money. By the way, FU’s decline is directly related to a couple of things: 1). QU becoming full funded and building a new stadium. 2) Not getting many CFC kids and certainly not getting the better ones. QU on the other hand, picked up several good CFC players over the last few years.

This hire will certainly not help stem that tide.

Incoming coaches are not obliged to keep prior recruits or even current players for that matter. They usually will keep HS seniors out of fairness (where will they land at this point?) but that's usually it. Juniors and younger can still land a spot elsewhere if they want. And, some may want to move anyway. Finally if you want to build a top program you can't rely just on local players. A college coach's job is to recruit players from wherever he can to help win games, not keep local clubs happy

And they will be lining up and back stabbing each other to pay the $300+ for the ID recruiting camp

Thank you CFC of QU,,but QU can't even beat Manhattan or Siena , and forget about Monmouth.
Guess you better start looking at other clubs to recruit from

Hire them to help run some camps and they'll be fine. You need local in state kids to supplement the more expensive internationals and out of state scholarships.

FU isn't a state school bonehead. Sticker price is the same for everyone. Do they need families paying full tuition? Yes. All schools do so they can discount for the kids they really want.

Not sure why people think moving into a scholarship program is so difficult. Learning curve, sure, but it isn't rocket science. Reading the school's announcement it sounds like the school was impressed with not only his soccer track record but the academic success of his players. Says a lot about what why were looking for.
