So, either the DA is severely watered down or the clubs are so far apart that travel expenses will be even higher than ECNL. Either way, the DA will struggle.

Ladies and gentleman here is what Thorns Academy is doing in their own backyard against ECNL reserves. How are they going to fare against the nation's best?

They are not going to upset the apple cart. Girls DA will be the top league and drive the recruiting bus. The real problem is there are not even ashes left from the bridges burnt by ecnl folks over the years. Lots of crow to be seasoned and served coming up in a year as clubs scramble to market state cups and regional leagues again.

Still no official announcement from US Soccer. Just dropping little hints to gauge the level of acceptance. With the feedback they're getting, they'll be crazy to start a new league that isn't needed. But maybe they are just stupid enough to do it and fail.
