    Thanks for posting this data

In the days of ole when all of the best Oregon teams were playing for the right to go to Regionals in the OYSA State Cup, those precious few teams who made the semis-, finals and eventual champions held some prestige and distinction for the tourney performance.

Many of this ages and genders you listed this year for the OPL & OYSA if you signed up you were in the semis and in some cases straight to the final.

Winning the Oregon State Cup in the OYSA is pretty close to it's heyday value. But still a little tarnished due to the OPL.

Quantify the OPL event? the Modern day President's Cup? Great for 2nd team or B team tournament.

It's so fractured right now that it's hard to say with any certainty. In general OYSA State Cup is stronger than OPL State Cup which is stronger than either Presidents Cup or Directors Cup. None are a "true" Oregon state cup as so many top teams are missing (USSDA, ECNL) and there has been an invasion of WA teams in the OYSA state cup.

The inclusion of the CPSC/WaTimbers in the OYSA/Timbers State cup has added some depth to the quality of competition. Once the USSDA hit the the State of Washington nearly 5 years ago CPSC/WA Timbers became relevant in that tourney (WA. State Cup) as well. Good point.

If a Washington based USYS team wins the OYSA state cup do they get the birth at Regionals?

Probably need someone with real quantitative orientation like Last Plant to assess which age-groups/league/gender championships are the most difficult.

In addition to OPL/OYSA at all ages, HS ages have the impact of ECNL/Thorns and Timbers Academy, so in tracking club performance wonder if you "count" those championships the same.

Just going to celebrate the successes that come in.

To answer your question is Wa Timbers win OYSA state cup then they would be Oregons rep at regionals. For all intent and purpose they are an Oregon club when it comes to state cup

So the rule of having at least 50% of you players reside in the State of the Competition Championship is no longer in force.

                Interesting, thanks!

ECNL, Thorns and the Boy's Timbers Academy are all promotion of individuals. Nothing wrong with that, but it is silly to say having an avenue for individuals to progress diminishes the teams.

The thing it does do is make more impressive the teams who can win year after year, even with roster changes. The ability to win with roster changes shows good coaching as well as an ability to change approach based on a new roster.

All results should be posted, except that 2nd places in OPL.

Will do some composite data later in the week; congrats to the players, families, coaches, and clubs that got it done!

FCSC Nemesis G00 won Washington State Cup today. That's a triple for them this year: OPL NPL, FWRL, WA State Cup.

Thank you, congratulations (!) and have added above.

Any other Washington results for Clark County teams?

If it wasn't for the loss to that pesky fcp ECNL squad in NWCL they may have gotten that title as well.
