Yep, about $1000 LESS than what some Timbers teams pay to travel out of state to play in silver divisions of 5th rate tourneys - and not win anything.

ECNL is somewhat less than $10,000 per year. That doesn't include parent travel though.

You can do 2 years for $10K, same as Thorns Academy but with real competition and real college showcases. Not to mention real training. Not sure why any elite player would choose Thorns over ECNL, which is why none do.

Any idea what the parent travel portion is for U14-U17?

Zero. Big kids don't need you there coaching from the sidelines and berating the ref.

Because that is the price airlines charge for tickets and hotels charge for rooms.

Why is that so confusing? How much do you think it costs to fly to Phoenix, Houston, New Jersey, California, Colorado, etc... in one year?

Check out the airline websites or Expedia for estimates.

It will cost more than your player because I assume you are not sharing your room with 4.

Haha, pretty sure you have no clue what "real" means!

Not sure why any Oregon "elite" player would choose Ecnl or Thorns over club travel soccer, HS soccer & a life. End college results will be the same. Maybe better if more academics & less soccer.

You're "not sure" because your DD doesn't have to worry about it. Clackamas CC will be there for her though.

Or UofO or Beavers & other Pac12 schools like some Alliance players. An elite path doesn't change the player. Good players will end up fine whichever path they choose.

Those days are gone...ECNL clubs are in for a shocker when half their squads don't show up to sign and pay.
