        1) Style of Play
I personally know two NH HS All Americans that left New England to find the level of play they expected. There were other factors but that was one. If you want a calibration, recall the PSU-BU game and the BC-Princeton game last season. Leave the region and play a National caliber team = blowout. Last college cup by any is circa 2007.

        2) Strength of schedule
BC is best around here, but replaced Stanford with the likes of North Florida and Stony Brook. True National powers schedule tough OOC opponents. I suspect BC's fear is that doing that combined with an ACC schedule = a less than .500 season = no NCAA as recently happened.

        3) Education
Agreed, but Stanford and Duke are outstanding too.

        4) Location
If you are a National caliber soccer player, you want warmer than here.

        5)Ranking coaches
There are a dozen better coaching situations that could lead a player to National teams, etc.

        7) Impact Players
Yeah, there are a few top players around but not enough to form a highly competitive team. Imagine if HD and MM had joined MA on ND? Too bad.

        8) Alumni Network
Strong regionally, but weak most elsewhere. Duke or Stanford travels better than BC, BU, or UConn.

Hardly "the dream school" of most top girls youth soccer players right now. Their coaching staff and facilities are far behind the top programs.

BC is the "dream school" of a certain segment, mostly BC alumni. Everybody else in the area pretty much hates them because they're so obnoxious about it (we get it, you love your school, as do most other people who aren't so parochial about it). That said, I think it's undisputed that BC is the top program in NE on both the girls and boys side if soccer is the top priority.

Would parents really send their kid to BC if they were accepted to Harvard? Doubt I would.

At $55,000+ a year for BU, BC and Harvard, does the most highly ranked soccer team in N.E., UConn, really fall to 4th place when cost, soccer and breadth of academic offerings are considered?

UConn competes as both top boys and girls soccer programs in New England. And they are not nearly as obnoxious.

Please. You can't put Uconn in the same sentence when it comes to academics or alumni network. Uconn is a state school.

Don't wet your Husky diapers yet. It's way early. Hopefully BC will get a crack at the Hush Puppies in the NCAA tournament.

Not a big fan of Foley and feel that Feldman is a far superior coach. You should also factor facilities into the equation because they have an enormous impact on recruiting and BC has the worst in the ACC if not in the region.

Did BU get a new soccer facility or are they still using the dinosaur football field by the highway?

Ever seen the rat trap BC calls home? Compare them to a place like FSU or Virginia and you have your answer why they are losing so many top local recruits to other ACC schools.
