This is normally a huge game featuring 2 of the ACC’s top tier teams. Yet somehow this FSU team doesn’t seem to fit that mark. Who can forget this matchup in the College Cup finals a few years back. That was the last time the ACC had 2 teams in the College Cup. With the West Coast dominating and other Eastern teams like South Carolina, PSU, &WVU in the College Cup, the ACC’s roar is not quite so loud. There are 3-4 teams in Florida alone that challenge their supremacy. So this game has lost some of its luster, but the caliber of play should still be good.

FSU need the game and will be motivated. UVA are one of the top offensive teams (statistically) in the country and at home, no one passes it better.

A loss to UNC and tie to USC are understandable. These are College Cup caliber teams. Losses to BC and Clemson, plus a tie at NC St, are not. Perhaps one oops, but not three. That is not the type of resume I expect to see from FSU this time of year.

An FSU team that has lost many players to International duty? Stop looking at results only and apply some context. UCLA are similar. Not the ssame team without certain players, but another elite team who no one wants to play.

At this time of year, its about quality and health, not games that took place weeks ago.

Harvard has a lot of good individual players but no game plan. Disappointing result.

That’s on the coach. He seems like a lovely person. I just don’t know how good a coach he is. Short corners that surprise no one. A couple kids who play more like hockey players than soccer players kicking the ball to nowhere. Dramatic throw ins that lead to nothing. Now, we have to hope the other teams lose. Better than last year but with the depth on the team, we should be winning the league.
