SWCL strength of schedules is typically weaker than others. So how will this help them as doesn't revamping the SOS component become counter-intuitive to the whole point of having the Walker System in the first place? It is nowhere online. Only coaches/AD's have the actual number for each team. It is a something that needs to be figured out. The past 2 years SOS was based on what division your opponent was in. People have tried to explain. About 6-7 years ago the club players were asked to make a choice between town and club. The girls who were tracking to be very skilled picked club and never looked back. Shrewsbury should reach out to those girls and ask them to play for their HS. If they don't actively go after the TOP club players (not just any club or the second/third team from the strong clubs) they will continue to lose games. Look at Wachusett, Algonquin, Westborough, Nashoba. Their top 6-7 girls are on the TOP teams at NEFC, Stars, GPS, Seacoast, even as far as Oakwood.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Too bad those kids were forced to make that decision. In hindsight, if SYS did what every other town does (encourage girls to play as much soccer as possible), SHS might be near the top of the table. The SYS program is very good and has very good teams at U12 and below.
