Why? Are you surprised that Ridgefield graduated thier whole team and the next wave of girls are still good enough to shut out danbury, A school of like 10k kids, who are all in their 20s, the majority who descend from countries who are passionate about soccer

Staples controlled the tempo of much of the game. Was surprised that Wilton could not hold the ball and lacked any creativity. They ended up constantly playing long ball to try and spring their lone striker.

Danbury is a Ridgefield rival 2nd only to Wilton and always play tough against the tigers. Even during RHS' salad days of the last 3 years where they made a state semi and two finals, Danbury only lost by more than 2 goals just once.
