There is no professional soccer for girls. The only ones that can make it fly are the ones who are paid by the USWNT - very few. The rest try it out for a year or two, run up huge debt due to the below minimum wage salaries, and quit for real opportunities elsewhere. And with a new USWNT contract coming up, it might not be as lucrative for the USWNT members either - the NWSL has to stand on it's own at some point...

And the elephant in the room is how will the NWSL stand on its own while at the same time subsidizing academy teams to the tune of $100-200k per team per year? Waiting for a legitimate answer...

Best players in Wa still do ODP if they can make region iv.
Friendship cup is fun for the ulittle kids but the fields at pcc nearby those weed fields are horrible. made everyone sick with allergies.

The NWSL is not subsidizing any DA teams.

Look closely, some of the teams are subsidized by MLS clubs.

The boy's DA teams are also subsidized. There are very homegrown players, but the idea sells tickets and makes everyone feel good.

The girl's DA was a really stupid idea considering everyone is spending a lot of money for nothing since the previous models was already working and there is not really much of a pro league for women. A real pro league where players can earn a living.

They make a lot of money on rtc/ODP. It sucks but they will keep it around for the money.

Last year the price tags on all the gear/uniform my Daughter got was valued at more than I paid, so think of it as free training for cool gear.

Free training? It's crap training regardless. 98% are rec coaches at best.

Region lV camps are also a complete waste of money. $800 for 3 days of training with same local Timber ODP coaches. If you make the team; big deal! What exactly does that equate too beside getting your name on their website and invite to an extra tournament with top 18.

Heh. Well, let's see. regional iv in phoenix, interregionals thanksgiving, national training camp,
and national championship. Even ECNL girls still do ODP, if you check the rosters, they
are mostly ECNL girls. Linfield is a nice college. At least there is a McMenamins nearby.
I come visit you at your trailer park home and we can go redeem cans at Winco.

It's a mood point when you consider the odp players in wa are better then anything in Oregon.
