[QUOTE=Unregistered;2263895]Please, no need to bash. We actually enjoyed it for many years here. The team did well years ago and did fine last year. The girls enjoy each other but this year has been a disgrace and the club doesn't care. No team should go through this.[/QUOTE
I have come to the conclusion that FSA truly does not care about their players development nor the product the put out on the field. We have been with FSA for several years and initially the club and coaches seemed to really put in effort in practices and teaching the girls the game. These past couple of years that our D is in HS, it seems the coaching puts minimal effort in the preparation of practices and appears to not even care to coach during games or after. Winter games now are limited to one indoor session and the team is spot in two so the girls are lucky to play 4 games all winter. Only league games in the spring and no true friendlya. Truly a Waste of money. Looking to leave FSA after the year is up.

Ok "FSA dad". First, if you're D is in high school the true development days are really over. These are the refinement years, not development. Second, "FSA dad", the winter has always been practice for HS aged players. There are no clubs in CT that play a defined schedule of indoor games against good competition all winter long like the ulittles do.

GDA rosters are already set for next fall. You would have to play EDP at Oakwood. CFC would be happy to take your money and park your daughter on the end of the bench as player 26 on the roster. Face it, you are stuck at FSA if your D is already in high school

And where would you take your daughter that's HS age? You wasted more money and time if you left now.... unless she doesn't plan to play in college.
Do people truly believe that only FSA, OW and CFC put their kids on the college teams? I'm not saying that smaller clubs put the same amount in college as the big 3, but it amazes me to see what other parents think. Also, if you've never played at a smaller club, and seen the process first hand, pretty hard to know the facts other than you don't see a "college commitment" list on a website so it must be true that a smaller club doesn't put kids in college. Our family has been part of both and both have had their pros and cons.
It's like saying, if your son or daughter doesn't go to a Top school they won't get a job after they graduate. The thought process on all of this is absurd. I would agree that if you're spending thousands a year and your kid doesn't want to play in college, and money is tight then it would be smarter to go elsewhere, but it doesn't make sense to continue to pay the money machine just because your kid is a certain age and time put in and still not happy.

Ibra is a has been and never ranked higher than the little players.
You’re also clueless regarding Ibra, he’s over the hill now true, but for several years he was arguably the 3rd best player in the world behind Messi and Ronaldo.

Where does this notion come from that unless you stay at FSA that your son or daughter can't play in college?

If you stayed at FSA to long, then you are always behind the 8 ball unless you're a top 3 kid.
After 3, its up to the parent to do ALL the work in the process. The kids at FSA are just getting use to losing and the effort isn't being accountable. The owners, coaches, players have all settled and they ALL know that they're stuck on Executive Drive.
Thats the cold hard truth UNLESS they are getting into a school for academics and walk on BUT claiming they committed to that college.
Welcome to purgatory if your a kid 3-18 on a roster.
