    Club prices

Folks have posted various numbers in the past on various threads, but thought with try-out season in full swing, it might be interesting to try again with a thread that has the prices for all the area clubs. I cannot find a single club that is transparent about prices. It's amazing how much all the clubs try to hide the fees and other costs - even AFTER offers are made.

    Please be honest. I'll start.

    Beachside Premier
    -Fee - $3800
-Kit - around $350 (more if you get optional gear)
    -Golden Goal Preseason - $470
    -Coaches/game fees for optional/additional games & tournaments - $200
    -Hotel/travel to 2 EDP tournaments - $1500
    -Annual banquet - $50 admission per family member ($250 for family of 5) + $50 for team basket + $xx for donations/raffles
-Scholarship/field fund - $0 but the calls are relentless

Academy is more across the board (travel, fees, uniforms, etc,). For example, the kit is expensive and they make all the players buy a $120 soccer ball.

Bus transportation for academy games is another fee.
I know that other academy programs get the ball for free.

That is ridiculous. Freaking banquet. There's a big in every fee... wonder what real costs look like. Sorry

Despite what ever complaints people have about Sporting, they ARE upfront and transparent about price structure. Below is taken directly from their Tryout FAQ page on their website: http://sportingct.org/Page.asp?n=803...SPORTINGCT.ORG

        Q. What does Sporting CT Cost?

Sporting CT fees vary by age, however here are the basics:

u8 - $1450 - fee includes all training, outdoor league/game fees, coaching fees, indoor training and league play.

u9-10 - $1850 - fee includes all training, outdoor league/game fees, coaching fees, indoor training & league play as well as tournament fees.

u11-14 - $2100 - fee includes all training, outdoor league/game fees, coaching fees, indoor training & league play as well as tournament fees.

u15+ - $1950- fee includes all training, outdoor league/game fees, coaching fees, indoor training & league play as well as college showcases

        Kit is extra -
        U8 & U9 Academy Package - $150-175

        U10-12 Starter Package - $285-325

        U13-18 Full Package - $390-425

Tournament travel costs are extra, but that depends on level - and these aren't fees to the club. There have been NO other costs - (besides cleats, which he seems to outgrow every 3 months!!)

Full BS kit for us was $475.

Kit is kept for 2 years, so halve that cost for a single year if your kid is there for 2.

I think FSA NPL was this:

$3300 including indoor, uniform, and bag.

+ travel, gas, hotel, between eastern PA/NJ/LI and here on a bunch of weekends.

But you get a great indoor winter session.

Premier clubs love parents hot buttons, college and varsity soccer. Clubs should be able to deliver a quality program for $2500.00, which included all kits and comprehensive off-season training package.

Oh yes. Indoor. You should add the fees for the supplemental programs that most of the kids do in the winter because a playing Omar's kids every weekend is just the level of competition future Academy players need.

Also... the sweatshirts used to be a "free gift". 1 set per player. This year it became an additional item AND mandatory.

So, still a "gift" but not "free"? A "gift you pay for." Alternatively, "not a gift at all"?

This year (17/18) for Everton the fees were:

                        - boys and girls 2004-2007 (full year) $2,900 + kit (if needed)
                        - HS aged (2003-1999) boys NPL teams (after HS season) $2,500 + kit (if needed)

                        - typically one would also receive one free week of summer camp for pre-season (not residential)

                        - no banquet
                        - no field fund (Everton already has them)

Yes, you are correct. Everton has long term lease on the fields at All Saints.
