Girls NPL teams in or near Nassau County

    Good morning fellow soccer parents:

My daughter, U15 next season, is interested in trying out for an NPL team in Nassau County or relatively close thereto. We know Albertson is holding tryouts.
However, are there any other clubs with NPL teams for girls U15 next season in or near Nassau County?
On the East Meadow website, it seems they currently have girls NPL teams. However, EM announced tryouts for ECNL, etc but not NPL. Are they not holding NPL tryouts for next season?

In addition, are there any other NPL clubs we should consider as alternatives?

    Thank you for your assistance.

Current GU15 NYCSL NPL teams in LI are SUSA, Massapequa SC and Brentwood. NE NPL teams are Albertson & East Meadow.

Thank you. Do you have any idea why EM isn't posting NPL tryouts?

I apologize for being a newbie but can you please explain the difference between NYCSL and NE NPL teams.

      Thank you.

maybe its just a pooled tryout and they select the tippy top for ECNL and the next level for NPL all in one process?

EMSC has an affiliation with Smithtown. Their NPL team is run out of Smithtown. They do a have a couple very good teams.

            Now it makes sense.

Northeast Girls NPL was set up for ECNL member clubs as a way to field additional teams. It mirrors ECNL schedules so you have the same travel (Boston to NJ).

NYCSL NPL is more regional with games in NY/NJ.

Honestly, Northeast Girls NPL is not necessarily worth the travel expense. If you want that, then see if you can make an ECNL team...otherwise I would go for one of the NYCSL NPL Clubs.

Of course, other factors should be considered...location, coaching, teams, etc.

At the older ages many rosters are pretty well set. Often times players who are interested get invited to practices rather than holding to official cattle call tryouts. Contact the clubs that might work and ask for your daughter to attend a practice. It is a better way for your daughter and the coach to see if there is a fit or not vs a big tryout any way.
