Who said there was no NPL.

The announcement you are referencing is a supplemental league. It's not a replacement for NPL. It's a replacement for the National league and it's a voluntary league

Edp will not have npl. All of EDP will use usysa passes the new league and the current leagues.
You can only be NPL thru US Club not USYSA. If you want play npl you need to be carded thru US club not USYSA. A rumor is NYCSL will create a NJ npl but the reakity us nj teams already play NPl with ny and one ct team.

This announcement said nothing about EDP not having NPL

The clubs can play NPL if they are dual carded with US Club and USYSA

You are correct assuming EDP continues to work with USClub. Time will tell

"In addition to managing these conferences, EDP will see its league play, tournaments and college showcases sanctioned by US Youth Soccer."

7 of the 12 teams currently in EDP NPL have committed to the new EDP National League.

Looks like NJ NPl teams will be decreasing again ( Parsippany & Princeton) left last year from NYCSL NPl and niw this change....
