    Puh-leeeeze... you have no clue.
The Bay Area ECNL league champions this year were:
    2003 - DeAnza
    2002 - Mustang
    2001 - MVLAe
    2000 - Rage
    1999 - Mustang
And for the 2004 age group, MVLA is the best team in the state and probably the country. DeAnza will be the best DA club in a very week NorCal DA league, but DeAnza does NOT have the best NorCal teams. The best teams will be in ECNL.

Truth. Only if GDA produces a different, better option will it take over in NoCal. Give GDA a few years and I think it will siphon off more of the soccer-only top players. NoCal Ecnl players are getting into good college soccer programs in droves. Zero reason to leave now when you're still on top.

2004 teams will be ECNL/GDA teams this year. Not sure what's so nuts about someone pointing out that the best 2004 team in Norcal will be in ECNL and not in GDA.

That's what Oregon ECNL parents keep telling themselves anyways. The best 00s and 01s stayed in ECNL. The top 02s, 03s, 04s will all be GDA by Summer 2018.

LOL. The best GDA team in Norcal by far, Earthquakes 2004 GDA, got their asses handed to them a couple of days ago by San Juan ECNL. San Juan isn't even the best ECNL team. Haha. GDA SUCKS.

It does in Norcal. Norcal top clubs all stayed with successful ECNL instead of GDA. 2005 and younger may switch over eventually. The good news is Thorns Academy will be a top team in that GDA league. The bad news is they'll be traveloing to play low level teams. The good news is Echl is still the top league at least for Oregon & Norcal teams. The bad news is Ecnl has to pay their own way to play those good teams. Pros & cons both sides.

And the really bad news is many of the best Oregon players are in GDA..so while a few remained loyal to ECNL they are now on watered down teams AND paying a lot of $$ for travel!

What's go funny this next year is when the Thorns get their asses handed to them by the Earthquakes, Placer, and PSV, knowing that they aren't even the best teams in Norcal. Ass kickings in a weak league are still ass kickings, whether they're paying for travel or not.

Most of the best players in Oregon did not chose the gda which is positive.

I think the fear is that US Soccer will make as big of a mess on the girls side as they have on the mens side. They are not off to a good start.

It will be years before you will know if they have screwed it up.

Early indications are not good and thats why so many top player steered clear.

This is true across the country

Sounds like best players from CU and FCP did go GDA.
