    ADF folding?

Has anyone heard rumors of ADF folding? Heard a financial backer may have pulled out and too many of the kids are on scholarship.

A wealthy booster/parent did leave the club. How much of the club's expenses he was paying for, and whether the club can pay the bills without him, I don't know.

Crossfire 05B was stillborn. Most likely will get relegated to D1 next year. Crossfire and BSC DA coaches are already calling ADF kids to come out to try some practices with DA in hopes of picking up some of that talent for next year. Why aren't they developing players like that themselves??

Because all their best players are playing up in DA?

                  Big Booster = Big Ego

Parent's perception of son's ability does not equal reality.

Out of the 15 players rostered on the Crossfire DA team, only one was born in 2005. So one kid "playing up". http://www.ussoccerda.com/sam/standi...teamId=1643183

With rosters being capped at 20 next year.. this would allow for only five more players to join this DA team.. with 04 or 05 birth years. So the coaches are now in full recruitment mode. Time to go find talented players from other clubs... again.

Big Booster = Roster Spot on Top Team

                        That is acceptable.

It is the rest of the baggage this was not acceptable.

Crossfire 05 appeared to be very strong as a "new" team last Summer/early fall. In fact, they finished 2nd in the fall. Judging by their Spring results, they are regressing, or everybody is progressing and they have plateaued (which would speak to coaching). We haven't played them yet this Spring, but did play them twice last fall. They had a couple of "good"players (one who very fast and talented on the outside, and a very strong defender). Those are the only two I could see making DA.

                            Speaking of ADF and fold.

                            The group lost their 'bill-fold'.

                            Pun intended.

They didn't lose any good players though.
