I heard they are going to switch the teams up every week. Players will be assigned at the end of the week based on performance at practice. Heard it straight from the coach.

I agree, but it sure would be interesting if they did.

Give it to them plus a few other in mass., Give everyone a B team and we are all set. We will have managed to recreate the nice localized we all had when they were young at quadruple the cost!

The master plan is finally coming together!!! *insert evil laugh*

In the beginning ... all teams were in one league (with multiple divisions) paying reasonable rates, and traveling locally, with all of the top teams playing each other regularly.

Then ... Some clubs decided to leave that league, create their own “private” league which cost more and traveled further because it was “more elite”, And now those top teams would not play the other top teams from the previous league. Eventually, more clubs trickled up and in, so now this new league wasn’t “elite” enough anymore.

So then ... the same cycle happened about three more times with new “more elite leagues” being created, where the costs and travel rose again, and none of the top teams in any of these leagues would play each other. But then eventually, more clubs trickled up and in, so now these new leagues weren’t “elite” enough again.

Which had led to the final act ... these newer “elite-er” leagues have decided there is more money to be made if they just let everyone in, and call everyone “the elitist”, and we are back to all top teams playing each other at a more local level, except we are all really just gonna be back to the same set-up we had in the beginning, with a new name, but at triple the cost. All because parents are ego-driven suckers, and they followed the herd to be in the “most bestest-elitist league they could possible find and pay for, and bit the marketing hype hook, line, and sinker! Bravo to the clubs! Genius long con!

I suppose you would prefer all the players to stay home and play fortnite?

No. Do not prefer they stay home and play fortnite.

This model is not unique to soccer. Almost all club sports are following the same national trend.
