She must be on an ECNL-R team. Talent is very uneven on the “R” teams. A couple of good girls on an R team and team can play .750 ball. ECNL is much more selective awarding full ECNL.

Same goes for every league in Florida it’s a money pit! No player identification clubs are not out there assembling the best players. They take who ever shows up! Hundreds show up to give there money. Why bother assembling the best that would take work

They recruit florida because they SHOULD be able to find something because the kids can play year around.

Talent is a HUGE problem. Too many coaches promoting kick and run.

Take a look at the 2021s that are recruited. No one stellar. Some good names but nothing stellar.

Look at the 2020s. Whos playing, whos transfering and who quit all together.

        2019s. Same.

There are several 2020 players from Florida playing significant minutes for big programs. Sorry you don’t know who they are. Florida is bigger than your little local bubble.

The politics is chasing the money and money chasing politics. You have too many teams and clubs. Too many pathetic director and coaches at the trough. It is money first, and money last. If there is any development and wins in-between, that is all gravy.

It's called fractured talent base.... In the TB area the best players are split up between TBU, WFF & FP. Put them all together and they compete nationally. Parents pride gets in the way.

Southwest Broward - Prime and Weston split talent. They are one exit off each other on i75

Maybe weston peels off players in 1 or 2 age groups but that is it. All the rest are Sunrise Prime.

There should be no expansion. Substitution like a relegation scenario. Yes some clubs have done well and proved worthy adversaries but it’s the culture of the DOC’s that need improvement. DOC’s should be working together to facilitate the local program to insure the best is on those teams. Recognition should go to the parent club of said player if any accolades are awarded.

Winning is a factor when recruiting players. College coaches and pro scouts like kids that have a strong desire to win. If a player has a history of being on a top level team that wins at the highest levels, that player is most likely driven, has goals to advance beyond where they are today. Rene Meulensteen is a great youth coach, and he likes to see players that have a desire to win, at training, in a friendly and in matches and says winning has to be incorporated in everything you do in training. Ajax develops players, but they develop and also play to win. It is very easy to say you are in the business of player development without winning, placing players at the YNT, college or pro levels. IMO, you need to develop and win. FL

FL lacks in club structure. Most big clubs in FL will have a good team within their club, but mot times FL clubs are not good from U12 to u19. The big clubs in NY, Philly, NJ, Balt/DC, Chicago, SoCal and TX are good top to bottom and across levels; meaning the ECNL, ECNLR and the USYS (or USclubs) teams are good club wide. This could be possible in FL.

Agree, but for the most part coaching is light years behind in Florida. English pub style long ball or Spanish tiki taka don’t work against good teams. To be fair pay is awful for team coaches, lots of greedy directors though. For standards to be improved sadly club fees need to also be a lot more. Florida has the players but lacks structure and coaching as the poster above stated.

None of the things you mention are possible in florida. Soccer in florida is like a pie, every club is just trying to get the biggest piece they can. You need to move to the states that you mention. You are not going to change nothing in florida.

You are much better off splitting up talent so you can have competition within a conference. Competing nationally in youth soccer is fairly meaningless.

Maybe a few games here and there but not developing or challenged for much of the year if the players are not challenged by each other more regularly.
