Oregon is a flipping Train Wreck.
You are talking about one high school team and that team won the state championship, so that would be one game or possibly two games in the season.

Imagine what the score would be if Thorns played the top DA teams. It is going to be a lot worse than 10-0.

Jesuit sucks. Any random club team beats them. Just the factsz

Let’s not forget about the catholic perverts there.

Of course they aren't, and the keeper going to ND is a great player. My point is that she would be the same great player playing for ECNL, academy, or OYSA. I will say that ECNL probably helped her connect with ND coaches and probably gave her some credibility in their eyes. But her skillset is hers and that's what the ultimately recruited her based on.

Yes. You’re right about everything. But thorns will stick around because there are die hard parents who burned bridges at other clubs and refuse to admit they’re wrong. Because there are parents who want to brag about Tobin being at their kid’s training or their kid playing on the same field as Moultrie. Because every year the musical chairs that is club tryouts means parents unhappy with club X Y or Z will try thorns. And because every year an entire crop of suckers - I mean kids - just spent a year getting filled full of propaganda in ODP. Who cares? My kid never left her OYSA team, had a fun and happy high school and club experience, and will play for a college with academy and ECNL players on the roster. To each his own.
Unhappy w/ coaching, unhappy with playtime, unhappy with teammates, unhappy with the future that's ahead of them. All the reasons people move clubs and Thorns is no different than CU or FCP for that matter. You see people leaving all the time and sometimes you see large groups leave. It's all part of the process. Congrats on your experience...but keep in mind the Community Colleges are also packed w/ ECNL and Academy players. Did you pick Lane or Clackamas?

She's a great keeper because she met top competition through ECNL. If she played locally she would have sat in the goal really doing nothing. Can't get better doing that.

So you are saying that ECNL defenses are lousy and expose the keeper to pressure, but OYSA defenders clean up messes before they get into the penalty area?

There's a reason that while the US has never produced a world-class field player (excluding up-and-coming youngsters like Pulisic), we've produced several world-class goalies.

Dumbest post I’ve read in a long time.

Met top competition?? Hahaha do you realize that you were playing B teams this year?

Do you realize that everyone has a D1 walk on player? How do you justify the other keepers in Your club who met lol competition that ended up where???

You CU people really meet expectations to your stretching the truth

Sorry one keeper walks on to a D1 school which in the history of goal keepers from the state is no different than anyone else and you claim it’s your league but when another keeper from your club can’t even get into an NAIA school you go quiet....

Maybe it was because they went to crossfire wa club for a while. It certainly isn’t because of cu or Ecnl.

This one team wrecks every HS Recreational team actually, no HS team in Oregon has enough skill or talent to score just 1 goal against them all season long. This is called a reality check on signing up for travel leagues and bypassing the state leagues.

Recreational HS players whose teams can't even muster a single goal vs Jesuit are convinced by the con men, they should be playing out of state competition vs staying in the OYSA leagues.

Funny Stuff were talking about two local neighborhood delusional clubs that are simply travelling for the sake of travel. Why not be honest about it and accept this is what's happening. It's such a disingenuous effort that the clubs who pimp travel-bling should be ashamed and embarrassed.

DNA probably helped her the most far more than any fly by night acronym league for girls.

                      OSAA did it!

                      OYSA did it!

                      USYS did it!

the list goes on you tools.

The are being plundered like pirates of the carribean by nearby club(s) and they are losing current players going back to their own clubs for the only reason that the experience isn’t what’s being sold and it’s a little bit of a joke.

                        - Coaching isn’t good. These recycled dinosaurs who either don’t care (said by players) or are not capable of doing the job that is advertised. They need better coaches. Not ones that look good on paper but ones that are good at what they do.

                        - The standard is terrible for most of the teams. Kids not showing up here and there. Players leaving for better teams.

                        - Pathway to pros is turning out to be pathway to the same as everyone else if not worse for some players.
It could be time to flush.
