Thorns have some of the worst teams in the country

I agree Thorns older teams are not the greatest, however neither of the Oregon based ECNL teams is doing good on a National level. They are doing ok in the ECNL NW league but at the tournaments they can’t compete.

ECNL doesn’t have tournaments. They have showcases that are a balance of playing players and competing. The format is 3 games and done.

These girls will just go back to oysa through an other club or Westside calling themselves Thorns. Kind of like Eastside calling themselves Thorns.

if thorns just play in OYSA it would help somewhat with the epic beatdowns.

Now that there is no more GDA and they will play in OYSA, they should make teams sign a waiver that they will only beat the Thorns by 8 goal max.

I bet they will throw in the towel on thorns in Oregon. Painful and sad lessons learned.

But since they CONTROL OYSA 100%, I'm sure they can do what they want. After all, your league and state cup fees for OYSA go directly to the Timbers.
