Same old tired TA clubs? What planet are you from? OPL offers what? THUSC and OSSA in a weird mutation called CU, FC (there is a tired club for you) and then what? Aloha soccer club?

As an example, lets look at spring's GU14 premier bracket, 9 teams, 4 from Crossfire Oregon, 2 from Thusc,and 1 each from FC, Pacific and Albany.

From OYSA lets look at BU14 (pattern here Boys are stinger at OYSA, Girls at OPL, give each the benefit of its strength) 9 teams, 2 from Westside, 2 from Santos FC, 1 from Eastside, 1 from CFC (FWRL CHAMPION AND STATE CHAMPION), 1 from WAFC, 1 from Academia Leon, and 1 from Bend FC.

Go ahead and play for free…Just remember you get what you pay for.

3rd and 4th teams at ECNL clubs are still stronger than most of the Timber's A teams so it's actually a very good deal to play in the OPL...

Wake up, that line is so 3 years ago…the only way you drive to Medford to play a super rec team is if you are a super rec team. If it is the correct level than it will be a good match up.

If you think they all look and play the same you really haven't watched them play. If you think Eastside Timbers, Westside Timbers, and Capital FC Timbers have the same name you really can't read very well.

Really don't know what you are talking about. Medford has some solid teams on the girls side. The travel may be an inconvenience but use that as an excuse rather than bashing a team that could be better than yours.

I think you may have meant to quote the comment I was responding to. My statement was that it is tiring to here OPL complain about traveling to play rec teams, the reality is there are all levels of teams everywhere, if you are sent to a distant point to play a team it will be a team at your level.

We traveled to Eugene and won 10-0 and at 1 point had both keepers playing forward. We played Medford in Portland and won 6-0. Played Bend 2x and won by a combined score of 8-1. Maybe we should have traveled to the coast. Does Pendleton have a team?

There are good and bad teams everywhere. I could pull isolated examples of teams traveling to Portland and killing the weak Portland teams. That doesn't really mean anything except that the teams weren't placed properly in the divisions. The more teams you have playing in one league the easier it is to place teams properly. That's why having divided leagues isn't a good thing.
