It is embarrassing how anyone could even think the FSA 18’s, 17’s 15’s or 14’s are better than CFC’s. The 16’s are even fSA overall as a club is BOTTOM of the conference. Look at the standings

They're ranked lower (14th) than FSA (13th) because they're 2-10-2 and FSA is 2-8-2 and CFC lost to FSA 1-2. That one is razor thin. Bad razor thin, but razor thin nonetheless.

I assume it can't help to have a crappy record and not get to go to the final showcase. But presumably some of these kids are good enough to play in college. Does CFC just write the whole year off and move on or do they actually help these kids?

Not going to CA is probably a blessing. Kids on that U16 team are largely going to be recruited by mid majors. Patriot, NEC, MAAC, A10. Some of those schools go to Nationals but most don't. Their players mostly come from the region so they don't fly across the country to recruit kids from their own backyard.
Kids on the U16 team will be fine and they will all get recruited to fine schools. I wouldn't worry about UCLA or UNC showing up but there will be plenty of interest in them. PDA becomes their Superbowl for recruiting.
