Plenty of parents in CT can afford ECNL price tags. That's why there's two clubs. We also shouldn't have two BDA clubs, but we do and look at the results there. Only reason there's only one GDA club is no one else wanted it. Both leagues want to lock in their geographic territories. It's like they're playing Stratego.

Gives you a clear look at where the club’s players play. Penn Fusion near the top bc they only play in one league. They were a top 20 club in ECNL. Not too 5. PDA near the top there but struggling in ECNL. Stars near the bottom but near the top in ECNL. So Cal Blues are decent in GDAP but near the top of the ECNL.

Conclusions? Stars and Blues obviously sent their better kids to ECNL. PDA sent their to GDAP. Eclipse a little to both leagues. ECNL was much stronger than the GDAP is right now and probably is still stronger but not by much. Going to see some major club jumping, both in terms of entire clubs from one league to the next, and players to rival clubs. Which then begs the question of what the point of the GDAP is? Second fiddle league to ECNL, but weakened the ECNL a little. Who does that help? Oh, and OW is a below average club in the weaker league. Nothing unexpected about that.

Look how poor the Northeast. Gives pause to any OW results and also shows ECNL still top of heap in Area.

Teams are leaving GDA and going ECNL. Says ECNL is the league of relegation. also, thought PF finished top 10 after championship finishes (each either first or second in brackets).

No way I would join some gda or ecnl leagues where things are too spread out. Even on the dense east coast the travel is a burden. .

just double the number of clubs in all these leagues and the travel burden will be better.

Not sure where this list came from, but the rankings are off for my daughters club. I am using the only metric that matters, the current playoff seedings for 03, 01/02, 99/00 teams, the 04 teams do not have a playoff.

                  (16, 26, 40) Their stupid ranking
                  (3, 13, 20) Our real ranking

We are comparatively lucky on the east coast with travel even if it doesn't feel like it. Other areas have it much worse. Problem with doubling the clubs is there's not many quality clubs left that aren't in ECNL or GDA already.

The fact that you care that much 6 months in demonstrates why soccer will go nowhere in this country

No where but maxing out every possible dollar available for extraction from the wallets of parents that care that much.
