Shocked it isn't being locked down further.

This is pretty extensive and, in some cases, more in depth than the “lockdowns” last spring. It does appear, however, that they seem to be starting to realize that outdoor activities are far safer than indoor.

Lol. WP and Pac need to quarantine for 14 days after they get back into WA.
Was it worth it? For 3 games? I like how RCS covers their butt.
But still, SU, Eastside, and XF said no way.

Hey make sure to email Paul if they are going to enforce the 14 day lockdown
of Pac and WP. Surely, they can not have teams coming back from out
of the state that have no mask requirements and mixing with other teams.

        Latest RCL Update on 11/6:

"The RCS voted to allow RCL teams to play out of state, and there will be no consequences from the RCS.

RCS recommend that clubs should still make sure their county does not have a problem when they return.

Please note: this is ONLY for RCL clubs."

Wow, such a Karen move! Do you have the cops on speed dial if you see someone wearing a mask? I can almost see you doing a dance after writing your sanctimonious post. Look guys, I can follow orders from a politician. Politicians, left and right, would never sellout their own constituents if it meant good press or helped their political aspirations.

LOL at anyone who thinks WP will follow the rules.

I'm at the fields right now, watching teams scrimmaging on 2 different fields. And a third about to start up.

Hi fellow River Road parent. Yup, 3 scrimmages.

Interstate travel, especially if it requires a flight, seems incredibly risky. That being said, the 14 day quarantine is a recommendation not a requirement.

I'd be more worried about the hotel and rental vans. The flight is fine. They're getting cleaner and better air on the flight than you do in your home.

Teams that are traveling are advised to quarantine - not required. They absolutely should but again - not required. As for Paul Bayly? What does WYS and the RCS have to do with ECNL? Nothing. Paul and the crew have little they can do other than not allow the players who might be dual-rostered to play in any RCL games for 14 days upon their return. Given there won't be games for 14 days...there is zero to be done. You, however, can always choose to not allow your child to play in an RCL game against PAC or WP. That'll show 'em!

WP interprets today's guidance as EXPANDING what is allowed.

"The other good news from today’s announcement, we can now have normal team training and are no longer restricted to groups of 6 with contact.*Inter-team scrimmages (games within your team) ARE allowed, inter-club scrimmages (games against other WPFC teams) are NOT allowed."

(Not that they have been following the guidance anyways.)

What about the governor's statement today loosened restrictions? This is insane.

I agree that is a fairly ridiculous interpretation of the guidelines announced today, but...a lawyer could certainly argue that today’s document supersedes all previous guidance since there are multiple contradictions based on information still published to wa.gov. Inslee seemingly did away with the phased approach and guidance based on cases/100k and positivity rate today by implementing a statewide approach today. In my opinion, that’s been the largest shortcoming of the governors office through this entire situation. They don’t clarify what policies apply and which don’t...

We just heard a similar interpretation, from PAC, characterized as being the guidance from WYS.

So the clubs at least seem to be singing the same ridiculous tune.

                          Comment

Right, wrong or otherwise, every word spilling out of Inslee's mouth today was about the urgency of the moment and the need for inceased protections.

Well, when you are making up rules by fiat under the guise of science and public health without any checks or balances, the details do get lost in the translation.

This is the same person who were flanked by execs from Alaskan and Delta touting air travel
is now safe under their enhanced protocols. So, go take a trip somewhere! NFG.

Funny how pac and wp are understanding of intra-team now means you can scrimmage outside your pod. Yet, the same clubs who just sent their ECNL teams to Arizona b/c they are not RCL teams. Clear examples of leadership at its finest. Take care of your kid b/c these bozos surely do not.
