stay away from this league. Anything that Shyster SR from fcpc is involved in is a scam call fysa or local clubs and find out for your self. Charges poor kids competitive fees and registers them in tarsa (local rec league) or they play a lot of friendlies.

It appears this is the reincarnation of the Sunshine State Premier League, which did not develop last year as expected for a number of reasons.
It does appear to be much more organized this year & if run properly, will be yet another nail in the coffin to FYSA.
Everyone should be happy about this, something other than usual local leagues & as previously mentioned, another step away from FYSA.

Here's whe I prove you are wrong: how many teams play Florida Cup (US Club) vs State Cup (FYSA)? Answer? Florida Cup is a joke, with an average of 7-9 teams per age group, while State Cup averages around 40 teams per age group.
I am sorry, but state cup will always be a poor event as long as anybody can enter. As much as it has improved w/ attempts to seed teams, the bottom line is that too many teams that shouldn't be in the event are entered and throw off the groups. This also leads to having too many matches with poor fields & a very poor/limited referee pool.
If FYSA every got it right & you had to earn your way through regional leagues/region cup and the event became much smaller (16-24 teams), it would be MUCH better. However, I believe it is currently written in their rules that they must have it as an open enrollment for the event even though all states do not follow this rule.
Not going to stand up for Florida Cup. It is poorly run each year. If they committed to this event and marketed and ran it effectively it would easily unseat FYSA's State Cup. No indication that will happen anytime soon though though there have been some VERY competitive age groups in FL Cup each year.
