Predictions for New ECNL teams 2014-2015

Both JFC and TBU would be stronger than WFF and OC. Maybe TBU and WFF will merge girls teams?

If ever invited to ECNL, TBU (Tampa Bar Union) would have to incorporate a non-drinking policy that their coaches would never stand for. The coaches have been drinking before practices and games for years and that would just not go over well with that bunch of bar flies. To only drink after practices and games may get them kicked out of the union... for which they stand.

JFC may have a chance but they need to win at least one title under that JFC name before they are even considered. Getting mercied against current Florida teams will not cut it. They also need to advertise to the rest of the nation, and ECNL, that they are in fact from Florida and not southern Georgia.

OC has to rebuild their entire ECNL program this year. They have little to hang their hat on since they started last year. ECNL will be keeping a close eye on their every move with the departure of "the chosen ones". If OC plays their cards right, that group that left will soon be forgotten and all of those holes will be filled with talented individuals that care more about youth soccer development and less about their own personal gain.

WWF is set to build on their club's success from last season, and also learn from their mistakes. There is talent from all over the Tampa Bay area ready to jump on the ECNL bandwagon. Unfortunately, Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest chose a complete moron to direct ECNL for the club. You would think that getting canned by three college programs would be a sign that there is a problem with this guy. I guess the Triple D's never did that all important background check and took everything said on the resume from Resumes-R-Us as true statements. WFF needs to do a couple of things over the next few years. First and foremost, they need to find a respected and competent individual with integrity to run the ECNL program. Secondly, they need to find a prime spot to build a Tampa Soccer Complex in the middle of the Tampa Bay area. They cover the west and east sides pretty well, but they need to fill that hole in the middle. If they would do these two things then I feel they would be the envy of every soccer club in Florida.

Boca United are getting ECNL next year.

It takes more than just telling your players you will be in to get in. Last time I checked I believe you have had one girls team in the final four of state cup in the entire history of your club! Do you know how weak that is in comparison to many other clubs? You are not even close to ECNL status so please stop coming on every blog there is and telling your BS. Its getting really old. Try winning something first, anything.

So you caught that did you? Just making sure you were paying attention. I may have just gotten JFC confused with another Georgia team in that area.

Good luck to those two JFC National League teams. Little do they know that ECNL will be keeping a close eye on their results. Not to add any pressure on those teams but there is a lot riding on their success or failure in that league as far as the club and ECNL are concerned.

The expert has spoken. Lol !!! Time will tell . From what we saw playing bu this weekend they have way more than one good girls team for this upcoming year .

The bottom line is this....there were no additions this year. 2013-2014 season. Next year it will be Brentwood and Jax/PV accepted and they will play the 2014-2015 season. So the first chance that any other club in Florida will have is the 2015-2016 season and it is not a guarantee that a Florida team will get accepted. Georgia has 2 or 3 quality clubs that may apply such as Tophat (if they applied they would probably be a strong consideration). It is completely up in the air 3 years from now.

Space Coast United

Space Coast has a quality girls soccer program and would make a good future addition to ECNL. Their current FL Got Soccer rankings are U14 - 27, U15 - 5, U16 - 4, U17 - 8, and U18 - 9. There's also plenty of talented girls soccer players in the local area.

I hate to say it but SCU is not impressive. They don't even play in top flight nationally recognized tournaments. Just playing Disney, SC, and possibly Atlanta is not even close to what is needed to earn respect. Play nothing but top flight tournaments and learn to play soccer more with skill versus pushing and shoving long ball. Then I'd agree. Show your teams play history with quality teams and high-level matches and then talk.
