FC Magdeburg is a German association football club playing in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Nordost.

That is the men's team. Their U17 team plays in the B-junior Bundesliga (http://www.soccerdonna.de/de/b-junio...werb_17B1.html). Most US kids playing at this level in Germany are scouted from the US national teams (e.g Pulisic from Bradenton's residency program). It is very difficult for a typical US kid (even a USSF DA player) to get a trial with, much less make, a youth Bundesliga team. If this guy is getting US players trials with teams at this level my 2 cents is it is impressive but parents should realize the scale of the challenge. Might be more realistic to show kids for youth Regionalliga (2nd youth level, still a major challenge for most US players, equivalent in my opinion to USSF DA here in US) or even Landesliga teams (3rd youth level, equivalent in my opinion to NPL here in US).
