So if coaches are contractors, they are paid for a set amount of hours per season, no hours, no pay. Yet, the clubs claim they have to pay them

Normally they have a contract for the season, not an hourly rate.

Contractors (just like employees) are covered under PPP.

So we should believe that the clubs agreed on contracts with coaches that they will be paid for the entire year no matter what, a 2nd year in a row, knowing full well that this was going to happen (was predicted by everyone) and the parents would just have to “suck it” again?

Many were trying to be optimistic, hopeful. Late spring and summer, even into fall,, numbers were promising. Now it's a fallen apart again. No one put a gun to your head to sign a contract but you did. Of course clubs are going to protect their interests, they're businesses first and foremost. However I think this time the shutdown will be temporary, maybe until late January for outdoor and with limitations for indoor. There will be a spring season even if it's not quite normal.

Relax. No one plays games in the winter and there is still going on with the clubs. They’ll be back training in mid to late January and playing games all spring/summer.

Mid December to early January was always dead quiet for the holidays also.

Nah I think the current restrictions will continue through March. Why would it open up? Nothing has changed.

Being dead quiet is only true for smaller clubs without an indoor facility. Any club with an indoor facility ran indoor leagues and played against town teams an age group higher.

CT numbers are doing ok and the vaccine rollout is going smoother than in other states. As long as we don't get a huge post holiday spike I can see some things opening back up after MLK weekend. Seems like a lot of schools are waiting that long to measure the post holiday numbers. No reason kids can't play/practice outside and so far we've had really good weather. Inside is tougher but they'll probably allow bigger groups of <10 instead of current <4.

That’s not going to make an impact for months dumbass.
