Are you out of your mind? For D3 players, there is no money. You choose the school for the academic fit, soccer is secondary.

All these list prove is that the academy Myth is over.

It lasted about 18 months on the girls side and is basically done for the boys

DA was for something bigger. College is a point off the escalator these days. Not a bad one if you get a full ride, but most do not. Times they are a changing.

Academy myth? really? How about some kids playing quality soccer and knowing the reality of a pro career is non existent. Next best step is playing 4 years at a college you like, having some fun, and getting on with your life.

Nope, not even for Northeastern. They have several players that weren't BDA but it's also not a very good D1 program. Mid to top D1 yes DA/MLS will be very important - that or a foreign passport. And for some of those schools if you don't have the grades it doesn't matter how good a player you are
