You would be surprised to hear that they play more than you think. The have friendlies between Philadelphia Union often that I know of. I’m sure there are other teams too.

I have a different take on this. To me, playing under pressure is playing under opponent pressure, i.e. time and space. Pressure in this instance is not the pressure of achieving a result.

I fully advocate for playing. As long as winning is not the ultimate goal. The main goal should be playing the correct way and developing players through good habits that are reinforced.

If the Red Bull’s are playing against a team that is cutting corners in order to come up with a win at all costs, then what would be their incentive to play such teams? If they win, then fine but was it against a kick and run team? If so then the experience isn’t 100% would it could have been. And if RB loses? Then we get to hear from parents on here that RB isn’t that good bc they lost.

As far as RB just recruiting the best players vs. developing? This comment always makes me laugh bc it is a ridiculous statement and shows the ignorance and lack of understanding of how football works in the rest of the world. Every professional team in the world recruits local talent. This happens literally everywhere! The fact is that the Red Bull’s are the professional team in the area and rightly should recruit. They have the most resources and infrastructure. As is true in professional football- There is always a bigger club out there!

Btw, I am not a Red Bull parent or in anyway affiliated with them...

Despite what many parents think playing less games is more beneficial at this age. At least to some experts.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAH!!!! OK.... walk any street in south america and kids play every single day, no ref needed, but are competing and playing non stop.... stop with your nonsense... kids actually need LESS "teaching" thruout the week and more of just playing.

Here we go with another comment about how they do it in other countries. By your logic the knicks should be looking to draft players from Rucker Park? Do you think the academy kids at La Masia are leaving every day to play pick up. Street ball/pickup has a place on the development ladder, just lower. Touches are great but it breeds too many bad habits for a structured game.

Get over the whole “that’s how they do it in South America!” Argument.

That’s why their academy turn over rate is 90% by u18....their sole job is to recruit the best players.

Yes, recruit and develop the best players. It's the literal top of the soccer pyramid in the US, so it's not exactly easy going. It's also free when you get to the academy, so everyone wants to be there.

Sure Bud. go ask any Pro in Europe and see if they learned by NOT playing soccer. which was the argument.

You think any serious player should trust anything US soccer does. who have they created?
Pulisic moved out of US at 16 for soccer, Serginho Dest never grew up in US. whatever they tell you at CSA or FA or RB is obviously NOT working so enjoy those cones and drills to "learn" how to play

Imagine someone from the US telling someone from Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, to get over the South America way. LOL, problem with Americans and there we the best attitude, never learn.

Just look at their bench, There lies their main problem.
