Weston got the best 08 player in all of South Florida this year, he'll go straight academy and will be developed by weston. You'll see him in a couple years playing for the national team. The kid came from Doral.

That kid will be ruin by Weston at this early age.
Any other small club will benefit him more than weston.

That little kid, like his dad, is a little sissy bitch who will cry when pressed. He has. He does. His dad taught him how to be that little bitch. Weston will help him improve those crying skills.

If he is in the academy , he will get good coaching though. If he has that PreAcademy coach, he might be better off playing rec soccer.

You americanos are funny. At 10, what matters is the coach and training. You talk like the club matters more than training. You are what we call stupid when it comes to the sport.

I don’t know why you would assume I’m American. And how is this stupid? It was simply a response to a claim that the best 08 is from Doral, which simply is not true.

Do most of them burn out or are most of them told by clubs like Weston they aren't good enough at ages 10 to 12? I would bet a large portion of that group stop because they are told at an early age they are not good enough. In reality, most of them should continue because they would get better, and perhaps be better than the chosen ones, if they only would continue after being told they are not good enough...?

Why are u so quick to place blame on a club ? Most times it is the kid. As they get older they develop their own independent interests. If they decide they like science better than soccer and want to be a doctor what do you say no you must chase a ball all day ? Some get girlfriends. Some realize at 11 or 12 that there is no real professional path and lose interest. Some develop at different rates at ages 12-14 and cannot handle playing behind the kids that develop quickly at these ages. There are many many reasons and it’s not the clubs fault. The kids that do it because they love it - not because mom and dad push them - they stick around but only if they work hard. I am motivated to comment because parents of little kids think the club controls much more than they really do. It is you sons activity not yours.

This is correct! Weston preferably will tell you your kid in not good enough rather than work and develop him.
why they will bother to work on your kid when they can pick someone already at a good level.
This is why Weston ruin players at younger ages.

If your kid quits because he gets on preacademy and not academy or in white but not black, then competitive soccer is not for him. A kid that thinks he belong on a higher team should be thinking about killing it in September to show everyone how selection was wrong. If they cry and want to leave soccer, he should do something else.

It has nothing to do with the club. Parents like most of you pushing a kid past his desire and limits. I would love to blame Weston or sunrise or whatever but the fault lies in dads and moms lying to their kids. If u kid prefers soccer over Fortnite and asks to practice on his days off, he has the mindset

While some of what you say is true, there is certainly a great deal of truth to kids losing interest when they're told they are not good enough. When they are told they are not good enough when clearly they can play with the kids who are chosen politically ahead of them. When told not good enough over and over and over, kids as well as adults lose interest in find something else. Clubs like Weston, don't train their own kids and look for kids from outside the club to come in… f**** Weston

If you are talking about kids that don’t make the academy team and make preacademy/Black most of them don’t cry and lose interest. They work on their game. Quite a few of the black teams are top 5 in the state. There are lots of reasons why a kid is not selected for academy. And sometimes it is even better for the player not to go academy until they can get starter or close to starter minutes. If a kid loses interest because they didn’t get some patch on their uniform then maybe this is not for them. No club is perfect but your argument is dumb. The other guy is right - it’s the kids that lose interest themselves, not the clubs selecting a kid for a particular team or not.
