Why are the ECNL parents/coaches so insecure?

Every year since the Oregon clubs joined ECNL, they have released their rosters on August 1.

Last year Thorns released their rosters immediately after tryouts, with a note next to every player indicating what club they came from. This was a clear attempt to make the ECNL clubs look bad.

As of today we are 40 plus days past the end of Thorns tryouts. Their season has been over for almost 3 weeks. Yet no rosters. I guess it takes longer than you’d think to polish a turd.

GDA season has not ended yet. Playoffs are happening at this time. Keep the lies going troll.

The 03 roster from last year would be playing the combined 02/03 roster this year. Are you really an ECNL parent attending a GDA practice? Interesting lie considering new rosters are not practicing yet. Why ARE ECNL parents (and admins) so insecure? Probably because they got outpaced with D1 and overall college commits by the GDA. "Just the facts"

It's simply the cold harsh reality that the DA is US Soccer's top development & competitive platform and it's the most coveted title in youth soccer. DA

If this weren't the case, none of our local clubs would fight tooth & nail just to get the chance to play each other in a 'little metro area DA' for nothing more than giggles.

With nothing to sell in terms of coaching or player development a label is all that they can offer & non club can offer the 'big DA'.

Prior to the DA winning actually meant something and attracted the best coaches and players.

GDA season for Thornz Asylum effectively ended about last September. They haven't been in the hunt for wins since then.

The cold harsh reality is that GDA is about as competitive as OYSA 2nd division and most top clubs can't get away from it fast enough. GDA is on it's deathbed and Peregrine is helping to kill it.

Yea agreed, but should it be so? Seems un-american to let this monopoly exist. Besides we suck at soccer on the world stage and that has US Soccer's fingerprint all over it. Both the Monopoly and Sucking at this, seems un-American to me.

Because FCP literally is getting forgotten. No one even remembers they have teams. All of their teams wouldn't even win state cup let alone getting scammed to be a doormat against mediocre teams in Ecnl.

CU is losing badly in the propaganda scene against the thorns. People left CU and no one believes their teams are good except for 1-2.

Ecnl especially in the NW has turned into a joke of medoricre teams mascarading around telling everyone they are good but NOTHING they do proves that and quite the opposite.

CU spent thousands for Ecnl and now they are finding that they are getting passed up by OYSA teams.

I don't know who is good in Oregon at these age groups, but GDA fans taking swipes at ECNL's NW division is laughable:

-NW conference of GDA was the 2nd weakest of 7, behind only the NE)
-NW division of ECNL is going to be tougher next year than this year, with addition of PacNW and Seattle United.
-Reign in GDA is in trouble, with loss of Seattle United partnership and no subsidy.
-While San Jose has a couple of good teams, ECNL dominates in norcal.
