You do not need a waiver to roster anywhere else. You can even stiff your current club for the fees and it doesn't matter. The club has no say and no leverage whatsoever. The power is solely on the hands of the parents. You say release from the roster, they release. Period.

If you signed a contract with your current club you must meet all their financial commitments before they release your player pass to another club

Provided that club has fulfilled their side of the "contract". Do these clubs really get involved in enforcing the "contract" or do they just wish the player well and move on?

You don't need to be paid in full. You do need to be current and CJSA will approve the request. The forms are on the CJSA website.

Thanks for the misinformation, Mr. Owner. No, you have no say in the matter. Player asks for release, you release. No questions asked. Bill payed? Doesn't matter. Unless you would like to find yourself in bad standing with CJSA, USYS and/or USCS. Player requests release, you release. Period.

That may be able to get you released from a club, but it does not undo any financial obligations that you agreed to in the form of the contract that you likely signed that stipulated that they would train and clothe your child in return for money. While you may opt out, you may not walk away from your debt until they agree to forgive it or you pony up the remaining balance.

There is no such thing as "current" and it doesn't matter anyway. The club holds no cards when it comes to roster release. They get a reasonable amount of time to do it - it doesn't need to be the club's #1 administrative priority - but after a few days if the release hasn't been made you can start barking.

That's a matter for small claims court. Something no club would ever pursue.

The dude said his kid was a training player. Who in their right mind would sign a contract to be a training player. What would the contract read. We agree not to play your daughter in a game, no need to buy a kit. We will take your money and allow her to come to the teams practices which are basically 100 percent upside for our club since we are not adding any new coach to work with her, not contracting any new space for her to practice and not obtaining any new practice equipment (pinny or cones) specifically because she is now training with us.
