In contrast you failed to mention the high level clubs across the nation that departed the US Club League (ECNL) opted to apply for USSDA status, were accepted and are playing at the highest club level in the US for Youth. The boys DA has no peers as a development and cometititve platform in the states. This train is on the track for girls and nothing can stop them. Not even insecure parents in provincial states whose local clubs were not selected for the DA based on their application and coaching staff, player pool & body of work.

Our local clubs are playing in leagues that will take them, the DA isn’t an option for our local club, yet,, possibly never will be.

Things are changing for sure, thanks for the insight.

Weren't very many of those clubs. 90%+ of the top clubs stayed in ECNL, except for a hand full in SoCal. And those are wavering and kept their "A" teams in ECNL as is. GDA is far from the highest level of girls soccer in the USA, in Oregon it's actually 4th behind ECNL, OYSA, and Rec.

Well, if you consider the GDA folding up shop after 1 year as "change", then you're right.

              Not going to happen.

Same old bs... so not true. Just look north for confirmation. Reign and Crossfire Premieres “A” teams are in DA. The Oregon ECNL teams will do against the Washington “B” teams that are in ECNL now.

Across the country GDA is B teams. Girls want to play HS sports. Encl is A teams.

Nearly all of the top shelf clubs & NWSL academies elected to be part of the DA, after selection, it was a no brainier. As for the balance of their next level teams within a club they can 'pay to play' in any USYS or US Club league that will take them, since only the best players & squads in the club get into the DA. As you mention So Cal best's (which happen's to be our nation's collection of most elite clubs, teams & players) are in the DA.

Especially true in California. The NorCal teams in GDA are truly a disaster. PSV Union and Burlingame combined have scored 15 goals and conceded 425 goals.

Northern Cal has always been the poor step child to the National level teams in So. Cal. No Cal is a mess. Long live the champs in So. Cal. Jus sayin.

90%+??? You really don't know much about the soccer landscape in USA. I don't think all of the top clubs are DA, but it is definitely split about 50/50 for the top teams. The bottom teams for both DA and ECNL are bad.

Both teams in the older Thorn's older age groups are the best teams in Oregon.

Oregon ECNL teams and DA teams are in the bottom middle of ECNL and DA. How many teams in Oregon made ECNL playoffs last year? And how did the one team do in group play of playoffs?

Your second paragraph show precisely how little you know about soccer in Oregon. Given that you have no clue about soccer in your own state, what makes you the expert on the national level?

It’s fun to drop 12 goals on a team in one game.

                                Really?

Crossfire Oregon is built from a few left overs from last years 99 team and mostly from a 00 team with a <-50 goal differential.

FC Portland lost about 5 starters to the Thorns, 1 to injury, and 1 to early enrollment

The Thorns have the best 99/00 team in the state.

You don't need to be an expert to know that the talent is split between ECNL and DA. It is not 90% ECNL. I wish it were just ECNL because it was much better then because the talent was consolidated at 80-90% ECNL.
