Interesting article in Bleacher Report about the importance of futsal in Christian Pulisic's development as a youth.

Futsal was a quirk activity his Dad created for him while in Detroit at the age of 8. The real importance stressed was the idea of play as fun, little structure and the opportunity to express oneself. But, it's all balanced out with reality that his genetics (2 parents that played very well) coupled with his drive and activity level created this stud. It's a great read but the Futsal angle is a small interesting aside it the kid's development. Thanks for sharing it!

He also spent many summers going to Europe to play. Not possible for most American boys.

Most times shooting/clearing it from you half of the court to the other sides Goal w/no goalie or in this case pee-wee gk's shouldn't be allowed to count, it's not realistic, clean strike resembling a goal kick. Do they have some type of rule or consideration based on the size of goalies for these kids?

Unlike Futsal which uses a heavier (medicine) like ball, certain techniques used on the ball in passing and shooting in Futsal really don't translate well or very often to the outdoor game much. It's called a trade off. In indoor soccer The walls can be used for inventive passes and the ability to get a true wall pass to oneself. Which is very impressive to witness when performed by highly skilled 'ballers'. The walls keep the ball in ball for the average player in the states, which the majority of the adult and youth players fall into this category. The reality in Oregon is we live in area that is cold and rainy during the late fall, winter and early spring grass fields turn into mud pits, (which highight other skills not found in Futsal or Indoor Soccer or even the outdoor game played on turf). Understanding that playing the beautiful game on any platform is all that really matters be it Indoor, Futsal, Outdoor 1v1 to 11 v11 the more opportunities to play the better and express oneself. In the end you want to be relevant in the full sided game with your own unique skill and athletic abilities. Enjoy.
No. It's a futsal ball. Heavier. And different. You uniformed and dumb. No out of bounds. Fast and mayonnaise. You need to cook the lobster if you wanna lobster roll just like der Liza Minnelli did with The shoe. Member? Member Chewbacca? Yes, yes?
